Why Nighttime Skincare Matters

A good PM routine doesn't need to be complicated. Five steps is all it takes.

Step 1: Double Cleanse

Start by removing the day — sunscreen, makeup, pollution, excess oil. The double cleanse method uses two types of cleanser:

First cleanse: An oil-based cleanser or micellar water to dissolve makeup and sunscreen. Massage gently for 30–60 seconds.

Second cleanse: A water-based cleanser to clear any remaining impurities. Choose a gentle, pH-balanced formula that won't strip your skin.

Why both? Oil dissolves oil (makeup, SPF), while water-based cleansers address sweat, dirt, and surface bacteria. Together, they give you a truly clean canvas.

Step 2: Treat (Serum or Active)

This is where the magic happens. After cleansing, your skin is primed to absorb active ingredients. Choose based on your skin concern:

  • Ceramides — strengthen the skin barrier
  • Squalane — lightweight, non-greasy moisture
  • Shea butter — rich hydration for drier skin types

Apply while your serum is still slightly damp for better absorption. Use gentle upward strokes — no tugging.

Step 4: Eye Area

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your body. It deserves dedicated care:
